About the event
There is a growing need to increase the number of behavioral health therapists and clinicians who are able to treat and support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). There is also a need to educate and train systemic therapist to be competent in their ability to treat children with ASD and their families. SFT for ASD is an evidenced informed treatment that can be the first line of support post diagnosis and is strongly recommended as treatment later as the child and family continue to develop. This workshop is a 2-hour intensive primer to the model where participants will learn how to identify the hallmarks of ASD, identify its impact on the individual with ASD and their family and learn concrete interventions to address family issues that are connected to ASD symptomology.
