Approved Supervisor Training

This five day virtual training is designed for licensed mental health professionals in Washington State who wish to become Approved Clinical Supervisors and enhance the clinical and cultural competence of associates working toward licensure. The interactive workshop covers legal and ethical standards, systemic supervision processes, and culturally attuned and neuro-affirmative evaluative and development methods. A highlight of this training is the infusion of the Person of the Therapist framework and supporting non-systemically trained therapists to work with and supervise Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs).

Participants will fulfill 15 hours of required supervision education and gain 9 of the 25 hours of supervision experience needed to qualify. This training is facilitated by a doctoral level Family Therapist who is an Approved Supervisor via the AAMFT and Supervisor Trainer for the AAMFT Approved Supervisor program.
