This workshop is designed to increase a clinicians understanding of what neurodiversity is and how it impacts intimate relationships. Participants will have a basic understanding how presentations such as ADHD and Autism influence communication and sexuality within intimate relationships and how to support relationships that present with impasses. Clinicians will gain more awareness of their own bias they may have regarding neurodiverse presentations. Learning Objectives 1. Participants will learn what neurodiversity is 2. Participants will learn how to examine their own biases around neurodiversity 3. Participants will learn two presentations that are within the umbrella of neurodiversity 4. Participants will learn 3 interventions to support intimate relationships that have one or more neurodiverse individuals Dr. Anthony Pennant of the Colibri Center for Systemic Training is approved by the California Association for Marriage & Family Therapist (Provider #10058111) to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs. Dr Anthony Pennant, LMFT, CST (provider Provider # 23- 1228-AGPJ ) maintains responsibility for this course and its content. This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification.
